Renewable energy
Norsk Energi provides technical services to several types of renewable energy projects, e.g.:
- Boiler conversion to biomass
- Heat pumps
- Small hydropower
- Solar heating for district heating systems
- Combined Heat and Power (CHP) generation based on biomass and household waste
Due to increasing energy tariffs and environmental concerns, climate projects may provide reasonable return on investments in countries with economy in transition. However, the process of identifying renewable energy projects and bringing them forward through the development cycle is often complex, and requires good project development skills and a supporting business organisation.
International Department of Norsk Energi both identifies, evaluates and supports renewable energy project development and train local consultant in the same processes. A number of industrial and municipal projects have been supported and presented for financing institutions.
On behalf on clients International Department also conducts studies of the potential for renewable energy projects within a specific sector or geographic region, including assessment of the barrier to project implementation.
