Norsk Energi won World Bank tender ”Energy Audit Talco Aluminium Company in Tadjikistan”

The World Bank has chosen Norsk Energi as consultant to perform an energy audit at Talco aluminium company in Tadjikistan. The value of the contract is 300.000,- USD. Talco is a large state owned aluminium company, and consume a significant part of the electricity in the country. The annual electricity consumption is 7 TWh. Talco is considered to have a large potential for improved energy efficiency. Energy saving measures will therefore have a positive impact not only on the competitiveness of the company, but also on the the electricity supply in the country.

Norsk Energi will lead a group of Norwegian, Ukrainian and Tadjik consultants. Because most information at Talco is in Russian language, it is an advantage that half of the expert team speak Russian.

The project is expected to last for about ½ year.
