Heat from sewerage system used for district heating

fornybar_case_skoyen_smallSkøyen district heating centre produces heat for 9000 homes by utilising warmth from the Oslo sewerage system.

The plant constitutes two heat-pumps; one at 18MW and another at 9MW. Delivery temperature of the heating water from the heat pumps is 90oC.

District heating from 90% biomass

fornybar_case_hafslund_smallHafslund Fjernvarme’s district heating centre at Gardemoen is one of Norway largest commercial biomass plants. The plant was first constructed with a capacity of 7MW. Until 2005, 50% of the fuel for the plant was sourced from biomass.
